Course 196: Catalina Surfing The North Shore of Hawaii is too far away and the water at Maverick's is too cold. Have you ever tried Catalina surfing? Each class will begin by traveling to Shark Harbor on the backside of the island, roughly a 30-minute drive. There you will be given expert instruction by one of our surf gurus and set free to tackle the waves on our long and short boards. This class is intended for those campers that have always wanted to surf but have never touched a board as well as those who are avid wave riders. This class will focus on surfing safety and etiquette, learning pop-ups, how to turtle, and most importantly, HAVING FUN! 2 Class Periods
