Living In Camp Your trip to CIMI will be an amazing adventure that you'll remember for years to come! If you haven't already, explore The Program links on the left to check out all of the fun and exciting activities you'll get to participate in while you're in Cherry Cove.
Cherry Cove is a beautiful private bay on the west end of Catalina. It's very remote, which also means it's located in one of the most pristine, untouched areas of the island. The snorkeling, hiking and scenery around the facility is some of the most spectacular on Catalina and, indeed, in all of Southern California! With these incredible natural surroundings, Cherry Cove is the perfect place to explore the ocean and learn marine science. It's also isolated and a very rustic, which adds to the adventure.
We've been running school programs on Catalina Island for 30 years and over that time we've developed schedules and plans to make your entire CIMI experience run as smoothly as possible. You'll spend most of your day learning and having fun in various programs, but we also work hard to make sure your time outside of programs and your living situation while in camp are organized and enjoyable.
This page provides information on what life in camp will be like, from the time you arrive on the ferry until you pull away from the dock for your trip home after having a great time at camp.
