The Sky's The Limit! Introduction To Rockets Step into the laboratory and get to work building your very own rocket. Using two litter soda bottles, you will be given a variety of supplies and some direction but the rocket shape, design, and colors are completely up to you! In Intro Rockets you will get an overview of what rockets are and the physics behind them. Then pick which rocket you would like to fly using either water of air. After all of that you will get to work on your very own rocket. After you finish making your rocket, take a short walk to our launch pad and get ready for the action! After your initial rocket launch you will have more information on how it flies and can make adjustments to make your rocket fly higher each time you launch it! 1 Class Period | |
| Advanced Rockets So you've mastered making rockets that are fueld by water and air, but you still want more? How does building a solid fuel rocket sound? In Advanced Rockets, you move up to using Estes Solid Fuel rocket boosters and contructing rockets that can be upwards of four feet long! Use all the knowledge about flight you learned in Intro Rockets and apply it here. The sky is the limit! After the contruction of your rocket is finished you will leave camp and travel to a nearby dry lakebed for an overnight camping trip. You will spend the night and the next morning launching your rockets! Limited To C Campers Age 14-16.
