Extreme Science! History of Ballistics Ever since the first stone throwing competition, people have been trying to throw things farther, harder and faster. This pursuit spawned the study of Ballistics, the science of projectiles. In this far throwing class, we will cover the history of Ballistic weapons including medieval siege engines like trebuchets and catapults. You'll see it in action as you take aim to fire! You will get to build your own mini catapult and practice your accuracy with our larger scale models. Learn to fire the ancient Ballista, Trebuchet, and Catapult as well as more modern ballistic toys. 1 Class Period | |
| CSI They say dead men tell no tales – but their crime scenes tell everything. Learn skills the pros use to unlock the truth behind crimes as we collect and test fingerprints, blood samples, hair, fibers, handwriting and tracks. We’ll set you up in our lab with all the microscopes, chemicals and tools you’ll need to bring the criminals to justice! |
